1. Who we are:

2. Why do we save and process your data?

SPPS is a society with the goal to promote plant science in the Nordic countries. As a charity society we are by law obliged to keep a record of our current members in the form of a membership list.

We need your information for you to be able to pay your membership fees.

When you apply for a grant from SPPS, we compare your data to the membership list, to make sure that you are a member of SPPS, which is a prerequisite to apply for SPPS support.

We use your data to inform you about SPPS events such as the General Assembly to which we are obliged to call all members.

You have the option to also receive our newsletter with conference announcements, grant opportunities and other interesting information for plant scientists.

3. If you become a member we save the following data:

Your first and last name

Your invoice address

Your e-mail address

The institute you are associated with (only members of supporting organizations)

If you are pursuing a PhD (only for student members)

4. How long do we save your data?

We will save the data for 7 years after you end your membership. The law on accounting requires that all invoice data is saved for 7 years.

5. Who is taking care of your data?

The SPPS office handles your data. If you would like to apply for insight into your data saved at SPPS or would like you data to be deleted, please send an e-mail to office@spps.se.

6. Who do we share your data with?

We do not allow any other company or organization to use your data. However, some companies technically have access to your data. The membership list is kept online on our homepage, provided by Awork A/S, Frederiksberg, Denmark. Our financial revision is carried out by Ernest & Young, Malmö, Sweden. These two entities have access to your data but no permission to use it.
