Welcome to our next SPPS conference in Copenhagen!

The 30th SPPS Conference will be held in Copenhagen 27-29th of August 2024! Details and registration coming up soon! The conference will be held at the Copenhagen Plant Science Centre, an inspiring environment formed like a giant chloroplast.

Also, many young researchers will present their work and are looking forward to discussing it with their colleagues and more experienced researchers! A limited number of travel grants are available to PhD-students who actively participate in the conference. Find out about the rules for travel grants and apply here.

There will be a conference dinner, sponsored to about 75% by SPPS, so please, if you book it in the registration, make sure that you can attend. No-show costs SPPS a lot of money and does not support plant science at all. Additionally, there will be an excursion!

The conference site

We will hold the conference in the building of the Copenhagen Plant Science Centre. It is easy to reach with public transportation and we encourage you to travel by train or other environmentally friendly means!

Conference Fees

The conference fees will be:

Early Bird SPPS Member: 2800 SEK

Early Bird PhD-Student Member: 2000 SEK

Late Registration Member: 3200 SEK

Non Member: 5600 SEK

Conference Dinner: 320 SEK

PhD-Students, please register in time, your discount will disappear for late registration.

If you are not a member yet, join SPPS and pay the member fees. (Click) It is fine to already register for the conference as a member even if you haven't gotten the confirmation for your registration yet. We will check your membership status befor invoicing for the conference and make sure everything is correct.

This time, we need to charge a little amount for the conference dinner. The dinner is sponsored by SPPS with 75% of the cost; therefore we need to make sure that you are really coming; so please register for the dinner if you are sure that you will attend!

Where to stay

We have some rooms prebooked at the Axel Guldsmeden Hotel (1444 DKK/night including organic breakfast). These rooms can be booked and paid during registration.

For those traveling on a tighter budget or on a travel grant, we recommend the CabInn Copenhagen (from 719 DKK for a single room with breakfast per night), where we also reserved 50 rooms. For CabINN, use the booking code [ BLKSCANDI ]. This code is open until 27th of July 2024.
